Built by an Artist for Artists

I built these tools for myself first. Every feature in this suite was born out of necessity during real production in animation, games, and VFX work. Now they’re yours to unlock more creativity, finish faster, and enjoy your time in Maya.

X-Ray – Real-Time Rendering Tool

Stunning Real-time Rendering In Maya Viewport 2:

  • You can achieve light and shading quality that matches your offline render engines.

No Nvidia RTX required, X-Ray runs on any GPU:

  • With a quality far better than most other real-time rendering tool, X-Ray can run on any graphic card (AMD, Nvidia, Intel,... ) , while having a powerful GPU can have its benefits, X-Ray can even run on lower-end GPUs, if it can run Maya's Viewport 2 it can run X-Ray.

Share your scene with ease:

  • Easily share your scene with anyone, even if they don't have X-Ray, they will still see your scene with the same amazing quality.

Volumetric Lighting:

  • Add depth, atmosphere, and drama to your shots in real-time.
  • Turn any object into a volumetric container. Any light that enters that space will interact with the volume, casting cinematic, ray-traced-like volumetric effects right in your viewport.

Use X-Ray light and reflection maps in game engines:

  • All lighting, reflection, and (SSS) maps generated by X-Ray are baked to disk and ready to use anywhere—Unity, Unreal, Godot, or custom engines. It’s a massive time saver and a visual game-changer.
  • Just imagine creating a WebGL or mobile game that outshines UE5 on high-end desktops—with better lighting and SSS quality, yet running smoothly on lower-end devices. X-Ray lets you bridge cinematic visuals and real-time performance like never before.

Stylized Rendering, Reimagined

  • Because every light and reflection in X-Ray is baked into editable textures, you’re no longer limited by what’s physically possible, you’re free to create what looks best. Open the light or reflection maps in any paint program, tweak the highlights, exaggerate bounce light, or hand-paint stylized shadows. It’s like turning your 3D scene into a 2D illustration pipeline.
  • This workflow gives you total freedom to art-direct your lighting with precision. Whether you're going for a painterly look, anime-inspired cel shading, or something entirely new, you can shape the lighting exactly how you envision it, down to every stroke.

Limitations:

  • X-Ray works only on polygon objects, therefore, if you want to use it with X-Gen or nHair, you should first convert them to mesh.
  • X-Ray works on viewport 2 and uses Maya's built-in shading system, so all the limitations of viewport 2 are also applied to X-Ray.
  • X-Ray works on Maya 2018-2026

EasyTerrain – High Quality Terrain in Seconds

Instantly generate stunning, game-ready terrains right inside Maya—with no waiting, no complex setup, and no need for third-party tools.

  • Fully real-time: zero computation delays
  • Includes real-world terrain data from Japan and the USA
  • Blend, shape, sculpt, and export in minutes
  • Loved by artists, game devs, and animators alike

Go Beyond the Flat Plane

  • Most terrain tools restrict you to a boring flat grid. Not EasyTerrain. Use any shape as your base, whether it’s a sphere, a character, or even an island perched on the back of a turtle.

Not just landscape:

  • With Geo Paint, you can create natural formations like:
    • Rock arches and bridges
    • Corona-style arches
    • Stalagmites and stalactites

Effortless Multi-Layer Texturing:

  • EasyTerrain makes multi-layer texturing intuitive and beginner-friendly, while still offering enough control for advanced users to achieve their desired result.

Easy to export to game engines:

  • Export Terrains as mesh or use MayaX quick bake or other Maya tools to bake its heightmap, normal, albedo, etc, and use them in any game engine.

Early/Beta Access (Pro+ only)
